Kimberly Tricker moved to Naples in her late twenties from Warren, Ohio. She has been in the hurricane protection business for over 25 years and for the last 15 years, she has worked with Brett Pytlik, CEO of Clear Choice Group. They specialize in hurricane glass, shutters, and roll-down hurricane screens and have helped hundreds of condo and home communities develop specifications and designs for their protection and peace of mind.
Kimberly’s love for animals was instilled at a very young age. She bought her first horse when she was 8 years old. Her father told her that he would pay for half if she could pay the other half. To his surprise, she handed over $500 at the end of summer. That was the start of Kimberly recognizing how to set goals and visualize and work hard for what you desire.
Her love of horses continued into her mid-thirties. She had the privilege of training with amazing people like Don and Linda Colter, Kelly McDonald, Jimmy Torano, and others. Kimberly went on to compete in the largest, longest-running hunter/jumper competitions at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, for several years.
After a riding accident that broke her neck, she decided not to compete, but to use her horses to help empower young people. Children who are around horses learn discipline, responsibility, patience, kindness, and hard work. “I’m proud to say that all the kids that trained in my barn have turned out to be outstanding adults.” As Winston Churchill said: “The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a person.” Kimberly looks forward to competing in Dancing with the Naples Stars and contributing to Pathways Early Education organization.
